“Songs and stories from the goldfields - history sung back to life”

Tim Ireland

About:

Folk, blues, roots and stories from the road

Tim Ireland is an Australian folk-blues-roots singer-songwriter and guitarist from Victoria, performing solo and alongside longtime musical partner Ian “The Captain” Green on harmonica and ukulele.

Drawing on folk, blues, country and acoustic roots traditions, Tim’s songs are built around strong stories, memorable characters and the experiences that accumulate over a lifetime. His live shows move easily between original songs, stripped-back acoustic blues, familiar favourites and the stories behind the music, with Tim and The Captain bringing the relaxed chemistry that comes from more than a decade of playing together.

Whether performing solo or as a duo, the emphasis is always on connection with the room. From folk clubs, festivals and listening rooms to RSLs, community events and venues, Tim can shape the performance to suit the occasion while keeping the music warm, spontaneous and engaging.
